Which platforms does the demographic data come from?
Meta Ads provides the richest demographic data. Google Ads provides age and gender where available (it is often limited for sensitive verticals). The playbook pulls what each platform exposes and combines the view.
What do I do with underperforming demographic segments?
Three options. First, exclude them at the campaign level to stop wasted spend. Second, build separate creative for those segments to test whether the issue is targeting or messaging. Third, leave them if they are low-volume enough not to matter.
Can I act on the location data directly?
Yes. If one region is dragging your ROAS down significantly, exclude it from your campaign targeting in Meta or Google Ads. The playbook shows the exact regions to consider.
How reliable is self-reported demographic data?
Age and gender on Meta are inferred from user behaviour and profile data and are generally reliable in aggregate. Location is very accurate. Treat individual user attribution as directional, but trust segment-level patterns.
