Frequently asked questions

How is ROAS calculated across platforms?
ROAS (return on ad spend) is conversion value divided by spend. The playbook uses each platform's reported conversion value, so the numbers reflect how Google and Meta see your performance.
Why might Google and Meta both claim the same conversion?
Attribution overlap is common. Meta uses view-through and click-through windows; Google uses data-driven attribution by default. The same purchase can be attributed to both platforms, inflating combined ROAS. GA4 is the reconciler.
Which platform should I scale?
The one with the higher efficient ROAS at your current spend level, not just the higher raw ROAS. A platform might show ROAS 5x at low spend but drop to 2x when you double the budget. Scale gradually and monitor.
Does this include TikTok, LinkedIn or other platforms?
This playbook compares Google Ads and Meta. Other platforms are on the roadmap. For now, treat this as your primary paid-social vs paid-search comparison.
How often should I run this comparison?
Weekly is a good cadence for active accounts. Toggle Watch mode to have ClickBoss automatically flag significant shifts in the balance between the two platforms.
